DEAR ROUGE RELEASES MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “BOYS & BLONDES”

27 NOVEMBER 2017 (Toronto, ON) – Juno award-winning Canadian duo Dear Rouge unveil the music video for their latest single “Boys & Blondes” released via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The vibrant video features both band members Danielle and Drew McTaggart and was shot in New York City led by award-winning Canadian director Emma Higgins (Brave Shores, Marianas Trench, Shawn Mendes). “We can’t begin to explain how excited we are to share the ‘Boys & Blondes’ music video today,” said the band. “Since the song was inspired by our time in New York and our adoration of the lower eastside movement in the ‘70s we couldn’t think of a better location and treatment to showcase exactly what we had visualized for the song. Working with an award-winning director like Emma Higgins was such an honour and she portrayed our upbeat and vibrant visions to a tee. We hope everyone loves the video as much as we do!”

Since the 2015 release of their debut album, Black To Gold, Dear Rouge has become one of Canada’s greatest acts with over 8 million streams globally, a #1 most added single at Canadian Alternative radio and an array of impressive accolades, including a Juno award for “Breakthrough Group of the Year” and the SOCAN Songwriter prize for their single “I Heard I Had”. Their latest single, “Boys & Blondes” was released this past October and was quickly added to some of Spotify’s most prominent playlists including New Music Now and Indie Pop and Apple Music’s Best of the Week playlists. Formed in 2012, Danielle and Drew McTaggart are partners in life and music that channel their energies into honing their sinewy, hook-driven indie rock.
