NORTH AMERICAN TOUR BRINGS GARCIA TO TORONTO AND MONTREAL THIS FALL

TORONTO ON, 23 September 2013 - Singer/songwriter Diego Garcia has announced the release of his new album Paradise, available October 8 via Concord Records/ Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. In support of the new album, Garcia will tour North America with shows in Toronto and Montreal this November. Paradise’s first single, "Sunnier Days" premiered on Entertainment Weekly, you can listen to it here. With its lush string arrangements, intricate Spanish guitars and distinct Latin flavour, Paradise is a departure from Elefant, Garcia's former band that toured alongside such acts as The National, Interpol and Morrissey. The timeless romanticism within Garcia's modern sound however, (largely inspired by Sandro, Roberto Carlos and Julio Iglesias) remains a consistent thread. On Paradise, Garcia deftly pools his love of the dramatic Latin vocalists along with a deep affinity for the darker poetry of David Bowie, Leonard Cohen and Bryan Ferry.
