A Different Way

21 September 2017 (Toronto, ON) – Grammy-nominated French DJ and producer DJ Snake releases his new single, “A Different Way” today on Geffen Records / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The track, which premiered this morning as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1, features Lauv and was written by DJ Snake, Ed Sheeran, Steve Mac, Lindy Robbins, Ilsey Juber & Johnny McDaid.

DJ Snake announced and previewed “A Different Way” along with the news of his first French arena show at AccorHotels Arena, Paris, on February 24 during his history-making performance atop the Arc De Triomphe on September 7. DJ Snake was the first performing artist afforded permission by the Centre Des Monuments Nationaux and the city of Paris to perform atop the landmark. Broadcast live to a global audience of more than 1.5 million via Facebook and Instagram using groundbreaking technology, the event was a digital first that saw viewers enjoying a multi-camera mobile experience directed by Grammy-nominated director Colin Tilley. Watch it again here.

DJ Snake (AKA William Grigahcine) has had an incredible year since releasing his debut album, Encore, last August. The album hit No. 1 on the Dance chart and Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and debuted in the Top 10 around the world, including at No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. DJ Snake also scored his first No. 1 record last year with “Let Me Love You”, featuring Justin Bieber, which has been certified 4X platinum. He has since amassed over 3.5 billion streams, thanks to the success of his additional hits “Turn Down For What”, “Get Low”, “You Know You Like It”, “Lean On” and “Middle”. In addition, DJ Snake spent the year headlining festivals worldwide including Lollapalooza Paris and Chicago, HARD Summer, Ultra Miami, and Tomorrowland, and closing out Coachella’s Outdoor Stage in April.
