16 JUNE 2023 (TORONTO, ON) – Breakout alternative hip-hop duo Lyan Paris – comprised of childhood best friends Luke Marshall and Ryan Goulding – officially release their debut EP We’re Ok today via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The project includes the title track, “We’re OK”, produced by Juno Award winning duo Banx & Ranx alongside Evan Miles (6lack, DVSN, Jon Vinyl).

We’re OK includes the brand-new title track – a summer smash that begs for listeners to crank up the volume and forget about all their problems. “Ain’t always easy but we makin’ the most, falling in love with stangers, sleep anywhere but home,” sing Lyan in the chorus. “They always say ‘you better do what you’re told to’ but… we’re OK, we’re OK,” they conclude.
The track, which is sure to be heard at parties all summer long, is the latest in a string of exciting new music from the rising duo. “This song is about having your day 1 friends around and living your life while you have it,” said Luke and Ryan about “We’re OK”. “It’s low-key about running away from your issues and using your friends and nights out to escape. No matter what you’re going through, it’ll all work out how it’s supposed to in the end, so you might as well just enjoy yourself in the moment!”
The second new cut from the collection is “Live Fast”, which sees Lyan using rapid-fire flows over a piano-laden beat and rapping, “Nowadays I really think that I that I could probably die slow” and following with an all-too-familiar feeling, exclaiming, “Where the f—k the time go?”
The project also includes previously released singles “No Hesitation” featuring anders, “Problems”, and “Good Day”.
We’re OK follows one of the duo’s first-ever live performances, supporting LUM and Dom Vallie during the Canadian Music Week 2023 Festival at The Axis Club on June 6. Expect more shows, and more new music from this exciting breakthrough duo in the coming months.
