26 AUGUST 2019 (TORONTO, ON) - Emily Reid has released her debut EP with Universal Music Canada, the country's leading music company, titled, Wine. Out now, the EP was accompanied by a music video for brand new single and title track, “Wine”.
“This EP is the culmination of a lot of self discovery and a declaration of who I am,” says Reid. “These songs are all about the ups and downs and joys of being a young woman in this complicated world- and I couldn’t be more proud and excited that they live and breathe!”

In addition to the title track, the EP also features two new songs alongside the first single, “Good Time Being A Woman”, which has collectively been streamed over a million times already. The new tracks include, “The Right One”, a tear-jerking ballad about finding the perfect love, and an upbeat bop titled “Friday”.
Recently, Emily performed at the CFL Thursday Night Football halftime show in Edmonton, and with fellow Starseed Management artist, Chad Brownlee, at Universal Music Canada’s New Hot Nashville showcase in Toronto. About Emily Reid:
Now based in the country music capital of Nashville, Tennessee, singer-songwriter Emily Reid was born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia. Reid originally made her way to Nashville to study at the prestigious Belmont University. While never intending to pursue her own musical aspirations, once Reid became immersed in the Nashville Music City culture and connected with a network of musicians she began to discover herself as an artist and musician. BMG publishing took notice and signed her to a publishing deal in 2015. In 2018, Emily signed her major label deal with Universal Music Canada and released her debut single, “Good Time Being a Woman.” In 2019, Emily joined the Starseed Entertainment management team joining James Barker Band, The Reklaws, Jade Eagleson, and Chad Brownlee, and released her debut label EP, Wine in August.
