18 AUGUST 2023 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, Louisville superstar EST Gee unveils El Toro 2, his highly anticipated new album, and sequel to cult classic debut mixtape El Toro. The 20-track offering features guest spots from fellow heavy-hitters including Yo Gotti, Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, and more. El Toro 2 is an homage to the rap legend’s early career, while simultaneously showcasing the exponential rise he’s seen over the past four years. From the moment the project opens with the soulful, sweeping “Tuscan Perfume,” it’s clear that El Toro 2 is both an expansion and deepening of Gee’s sound: even rawer and more personal than before, but with that vitality pushed into new sonic territory. Hear him float above the shimmering “Toast” or burrow into the haunted “Don’t Forget.” The mixtape features collaborations with Gee’s CMG compatriots Yo Gotti and 42 Dugg in addition to appearances by superstar Lil Baby, rising Alabama phenom Rylo Rodriguez, and the late, great Static Major.

El Toro 2 comes in the wake of MAD, the mixtape that bolstered Gee’s reputation as one of rap’s most honest writers, and Gangsta Art, a CMG compilation that features the label’s all-star roster. Before that, his joint album with 42 Dugg, Last Ones Left, was met with critical acclaim and debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, and his blockbuster debut studio album, last fall’s I Never Felt Nun, was also hailed by critics and reached No. 8 on the same Billboard chart.
