FIRST SINGLE MY SONGS KNOW WHAT YOU DID IN THE DARK (LIGHT EM UP) GOLD CERTIFICATION & RISING

(Toronto, ON – 24 April 2013) – After a five year hiatus, Fall Out Boy has achieved their first ever #1 album debut on the Canadian Nielsen Soundscan Top 200 chart with over 8,000 units sold. SAVE ROCK AND ROLL is the band’s fifth studio album and was released on April 16 through Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The album, also #1 on the U.S. Soundscan chart this week, features Elton John, Courtney Love, Big Sean and British group, Foxes. The first single, My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) has already garnered Gold status in Canada. The video for the track kicked off Chapter 1 of an 11-video story titled, Save Rock and Roll: The Young Blood Chronicles unfolding over the coming months. My Songs has been followed by The Phoenix and most currently Young Volcanoes. All videos are available via Fall Out Boy’s YouTube Channel. Fall Out Boy lit up the internet last week with their take on classic moments from Spinal Tap on Conan. Their next TV appearance will be on The Tonight Show on May 6. Fall Out Boy will be touring throughout the spring and summer in support of SAVE ROCK AND ROLL with the following Canadian dates.
