19 SEPTEMBER 2025 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, global Afro-R&B artist Nonso Amadi releases his new single “DIVE IN” and announces his upcoming new EP TO CRY A FLOOD, due out on November 14. The new project will be released via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, with international support from Def Jam Recordings in the US, Polydor Records in the UK, MCA in France, and Mavin Records in Africa.

“DIVE IN” showcases Nonso’s signature style while leaning into the R&B sound more than ever. It follows “PILLOW” as the second track to release from the forthcoming TO CRY A FLOOD. “PILLOW” currently stands at #14 at radio in Nigeria across all formats, marking the first time he has entered the Top 20 on the Nigerian radio charts in years.

“’DIVE IN’ is a love song about full devotion to someone you’re interested in. Sometimes commitment feels like jumping into the deep-end of a pool, where things can be unpredictable – sink or swim,” says Nonso about the new single. “It’s an Afro-R&B record with Afrobeats-heavy instrumentation and R&B-leaning lyrics. I wanted to embrace our traditional congas and West African basslines in the production.”

The track is co-produced, written, and mixed by Nonso Amadi. T.U.C (WizKid, Sarkodie) and Daniel Skeete (Omarion, Hit-Boy, Chxrry) are co-producers. Michael Awele (WizKid, OIamide, Fireboy DML) plays guitar on the record.

On Sunday this weekend, Nonso celebrates the release of “DIVE IN” by hosting a community barbeque, block party, and food drive titled Grill For The Hills in support of his charity Hills.

A one-of-a-kind sonic globetrotter focused on world-building and intentionality, Nonso Amadi was recently recognized by Billboard, which highlighted his 2016 song “Tonight” as one of the Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time.

With “PILLOW,” “DIVE IN,” and soon TO CRY A FLOOD, Nonso ushers in a bold new era that signals just how far he’s come and where he’s headed next.
