11 DECEMBER 2017 (Toronto, ON) – Today, Juno nominated Alt-rockers, The Glorious Sons debut the official video for their acclaimed hit single, “Everything Is Alright”. The single is featured on their latest album Young Beauties And Fools, released earlier this year via Black Box / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The video for “Everything Is Alright” was shot in Toronto and directed by Director Colin G. Cooper (Silverstein, Drink Me Up, Tasha The Amazon), the captivating slow motion video features frontman Brett Emmons in an ironically charged scenario. In a direct representation of the lyrics, Brett is dressed in all white singing, “Everything is alright”, as an array of items are strewn violently across the room.
“It's nice getting your hands dirty once in a while. The video was a quite enjoyable and painless experience, other than getting smashed in the face with tomatoes. Thank you to our director Colin and his crew for the outstanding work and fun day,” shares Emmons.
Prior to the release of the accompanying music video, hit single “Everything Is Alright” peaked #1 at Alt Radio, #1 at Rock Radio and now has over 1.6 million streams in Canada making it one of the fastest-rising hits of the band’s career. Apple Music also included the track on key lists such as “A-List: Alternative”, “A-List: Rock”, “Future Hits” and “Breaking Rock” as well as Spotify’s marquee Rock playlist “Rock This”, “Totally Alternative” and “Digging Now”. Since the release of their sophomore album, Young Beauties And Fools, the band has continued on an upward trajectory both in Canada and abroad. In addition to its impressive debut at #8 on the Albums chart and #5 on the Digital Album Chart in Canada, the band has over 100,000 singles sold in Canada and over 12 million streams worldwide.
