GRACE MITCHELL RELEASES NEW SONG “CAPITAL LETTERS” TODAY
For immediate release
04 AUGUST 2017 (Toronto, ON) – Continuing a summer whirlwind of new music and visuals including “Cali God” and “Come Back For You,” Grace Mitchell uncorks another new song entitled “Capital Letters” today via Casablanca/Republic Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Listen to “Capital Letters” here.
A mélange of glowing guitars, cinematic synths, and haunting vocals, the track swirls and stuns like Fiona Apple produced by Danger Mouse. “Capital Letters” once again sees Grace Mitchell enchant, engage, and entrance with a combination of evocative lyricism and unpredictable instrumentation. About the song, she says: "Capital Letters is about defiance and rebellion even if there are immediate consequences."
Right now, Grace is incinerating venues across the United States making stops at WayHome Music & Arts Festival in Oro-Medonte, Ontario on July 30, and Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal on August 4.
In 2015, Grace Mitchell’s critically acclaimed RACEDAY EP yielded the viral song “NOLO”. The track would go on to reach nearly 6 million Spotify streams as she drew acclaim from Buzzfeed, Glamour, Noisey, Nylon, Apple Music, and many more, while Zane Lowe debuted the EP single “Jitter” as a coveted “World Record.” On the road, she graced the stage at the international Apple Music Festival opening for The Weeknd, opened for Carol King at L.A. LGBTQ Center’s “An Evening with Women” CMJ, SXSW, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, and Coachella in addition to touring with Mø, JoyWave and St. Lucia.
