Grace Mitchell Returns with New Banger, “RIIICH”, Today

Announces 21 & Motley Playlist with Self Written Manifesto

10 November 2017 (Toronto, ON) - Genre bending queen and alternative disruptor Grace Mitchell releases her new anthem, “RIIICH”, today via Casablanca/Republic Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

After a year of releasing critically acclaimed tracks, RIIICH” (co-written by Ryan Tedder) heralds the arrival of Grace’s forthcoming debut playlist 21 & Motley out today on Spotify. Reflecting her sonic nimbleness, devilish charm and fusion of pop, rock, alternative, electro, and indie genres, the 21st & Motley playlist collates brand new music as well as 2017 fan favourites such as “French Becky”, “Come Back For You”, “Capital Letters”, “NOW”, “Cali God” and “Kids Ain’t All Right”.

To further talk about the project, Grace has written a manifesto, not only for 21st & Motley but for herself, describing her evolution as an artist and vision for her sound as only Grace can describe it. Read the full manifesto here.

A sample of the letter reads: “21st & Motley is a place in my mind, a location I've been searching for through my music. I’ve been releasing my songs in a single-based order wherein each song is a different road to the same destination. A destination that doesn't exist but one I'm slowly discovering though all parts of myself. Taking this journey to a fictional pinnacle has taught me a beautiful lesson in patience and surrender, bound by circumstance and fate, all roads are me. So often we need to choose a destination to allow ourselves to journey at all.”

At only 20 years old, Grace Mitchell has already made a name for herself in the industry as a force to be reckoned with. She’s performed at the Apple Music Festival and had her song “Jitter” crowned “World Record” by Zane Lowe. This summer she toured with Foster The People, opened for Tove Lo, performed at Lollapalooza and Coachella, and recently joined both Muna and St. Lucia on the road. Press have included Grace in some of the coveted must watch lists including: Elle Magazine’s “Women in Music,” Refinery 29’s “The Z List,” V Magazine’s “Headliners” and was named “Lorde’s Heir Apparent” by Entertainment Weekly – all in the past year.
