18 August 2017 (Toronto, ON) – London duo IDER return today with the announcement of their new single “Learn To Let Go” (or ‘LTLG’) celebrating their debut release with Glassnote Records/Universal music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Listen to  “Learn To Let Go” HERE.

Having already gained attention of The FADER, Stereogum, The Line Of Best Fit, Wonderland and DIY with the release of their debut EP Gut Me Like An Animal, IDER are approaching a new dawn with their signing to Glassnote. “Learn To Let Go” sets a benchmark for further enticing, delicate and vitally forward thinking releases on the label over the coming months. The track glistens and pulses in a way that only Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville know how, with their inseparable, glacial twin vocals elevated by starry electronics and softly thudding bass to a refreshingly cathartic finish.

"The song is about self-acceptance. Finding inner confidence and freedom,” explain the band. ""I spin in my yellow dress", a lyric which came from nowhere in particular, has come to symbolize the meaning of the song.” Not coincidentally, the color yellow is now tied inextricably to IDER’s very soul as a band, a running theme that permeates their movement into a new phase and encompasses all of their vibrant new creative outlook. "Yellow universally represents courage, happiness and self-love,” they round off. And in that, the essence of “LTLG” and IDER is captured perfectly.

Megan and Lily formed IDER in their bedroom in North London and arrived in 2016 with their silken debut track "Sorry", catching the attention of songwriter and producer Shura, who went onto produce "Does She Even Know" from their eventual debut EP Gut Me Like An Animal. The pair found themselves catapulted into the spotlight as Radio 1’s Phil Taggart and Huw Stephens showered subsequent tracks including "Pulse", "King Ruby", "Million", "Face On" and "Nevermind" with praise. Their aforementioned first EP saw release this April in conjunction with a headline show at Bermondsey Social Club, UK - tickets for which sold out within four days of going on-sale. Look out for more from IDER.
