J BALVIN STAGES A HISTORIC HOMECOMING AS MEDELLÍN BECOMES HIS GLOBAL SPOTLIGHT ONCE AGAIN

01 DECEMBER 2025 (TORONTO, ON) – On November 29, the city of Medellín witnessed a defining cultural moment as global superstar J Balvin delivered a landmark, sold-out homecoming show at Estadio Atanasio Girardot. The performance – six years in the making – unfolded as a vibrant celebration of music, community, and the creative force that continues to position Medellín at the center of global culture.
Fans entered an immersive Ciudad Primavera universe, surrounded by installations honoring J Balvin’s iconic eras and welcomed with flowers that set the tone for a night rooted in gratitude and artistic reinvention. As the stadium filled, J Balvin took command of a 360-degree stage with world-class production, explosive visuals, and a cast of more than 70 dancers – 56 of them Colombian – bringing each chapter of his musical evolution to life with cinematic scale.
J Balvin’s star-studded roster of invitees weaved between Latin music’s heavyweights Daddy Yankee, Maluma, Farruko, Feid, and Ryan Castro, to international powerhouses 50 Cent and DJ Snake. The stage continued to ignite with special guest performances by Reykon, Nio García, Golpe a Golpe, Rayo y Toby, Final, Eladio Carrión, Justin Quiles, Lenny Tavarez, Jory Boy, Daelcom, Lennox, Kapo, De La Ghetto, Jowell y Randy, Tito El Bambino, Chencho Corleone, Yandel, and Kris R, forming one of the most impressive guest lists ever assembled on a Colombian stage. Each artist added a new surge of energy, turning the night into a living timeline of the genre’s past, present, and future.

Between high-voltage moments, J Balvin paused to reflect on his beginnings in the city that shaped him, guiding the audience through the story of reggaeton made in Medellín. The performance swelled into a finale that honored both local roots and global reach, uniting generations of artists alongside the emblematic Latino Gang spirit.
Beyond the stadium, the celebration echoed throughout the city. The Medellín Metro adopted concert-inspired visuals and offered 24-hour service, while J Balvin unveiled his Beyond Flowers: Ciudad Primavera fashion capsule with Vélez during a widely praised runway show held inside Metro workshops. The Vibra en Alta Foundation amplified the moment with creative activations for local youth, including a flashmob in San Antonio station, a freestyle battle in Comuna 13, and a special invitation for emerging artists from the Medellín Music Lab.
This monumental homecoming arrives on the heels of J Balvin’s announcement of a major Mexico arena tour in May 2026, following his show-stopping performance at Coca-Cola Flow Fest and the growing global resonance of Mixteip, his critically acclaimed project recently nominated for the 2026 GRAMMY Awards for Best Música Urbana Album. Up next, the global icon prepares for his highly anticipated Bogotá concert on December 13. As J Balvin continues to push creative boundaries and elevate Latin music worldwide, he stands as a cultural architect shaping the future through sound, vision, and connection.
