JAMES BARKER BAND RELEASES THEIR NEW SINGLE, “GOOD TOGETHER”AND BECOME #1 MOST ADDED AT CANADIAN COUNTRY RADIO
BAND CURRENTLY HEADLINING THEIR FIRST NATIONAL TOUR
25 JANUARY 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Ontario-crafted country outfit James Barker Band have released their spirited new single “Good Together” via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The track is available for download and streaming here. The song is officially the #1 most added at Canadian Country Radio and the second most added at Canadian Radio overall.
“We are really excited about ‘Good Together,’ it feels like it’s been forever since we’ve been able to share fresh new music with our fans, and it looks like everyone is just as pumped as we are,” says James Barker of the new single. “We definitely went a little more romantic with this tune, and I think it draws from a pretty traditional writing style with the comparisons of different aspects of ‘country life’ to relationships.”

The band is currently on their first headlining National tour, selling out venues across the country. The tour kicked off in Halifax on January 11 and will end in Vancouver on February 10. Full list of dates for the Game On Tour here.
Formed in 2013, the James Barker Band consists of James Barker, Taylor Abram, Bobby Martin and Connor Stephen. Winners of the 2015 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artists Showcase, the band’s first two singles, “Lawn Chair Lazy” (Which is a certified gold record) and “Just Sayin’” debuted in the top 10 at Canadian Country radio, with “Lawn Chair Lazy” earning them the title of the highest charting debut single ever from a Canadian country artist. The band’s third single, “Chills” reached #1 at Canadian Country radio in June of 2017, making them the first Canadian band to have #1 on their debut album.
“Chills” was serviced to US Radio on October 23 after the band completed a 12-week radio run in the United States. To date the single has 47 stations on board, including historic stations like KRTY (San Jose), KMPS (Seattle), KKGO (Los Angeles), WEBG (Chicago), WYCD (Detroit) and WKLB (Boston) and three weeks in the row they were in contention for most added. They kicked off 97.3 The Eagle’s annual summer bash in August 2017 with Trent Tomlinson, Danielle Bradbery and Brandon Lay and had the opportunity to play Rockin’ Country Music Festival which is put on by WYCD (12th largest country station in the US) – support for Billy Ray Cyrus.
Their most recent single “It’s Working” also landed a band another Top 3 spot at Canadian Country radio. Their debut EP, Game On, released through Universal Music Canada, dropped in April 2017 and debuted at #2 at iTunes during release week. The band has shared the stage with the likes of Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, Brothers Osborne, Lauren Alaina, Dean Brody, Dallas Smith, High Valley and more.
