“Right Now” featuring KTOE hinges on the Toronto trailblazer’s unpredictable rhyme patterns before slipping into an unforgettable and unshakable hook. It illuminates the nuances of his singular style and inimitable approach to the art of hip-hop. It also heralds the impending arrival of his anxiously awaited major label debut album, Fleurever—coming very soon.

Speaking to his panoramic vision, an intriguing concept drives the record. He comments, “The driving force of Fleurever is duality—whether it’s battling the balances of love and money, risks and rewards, right and wrong, or living and dying. I shed a lot of old layers in order to grow new wings.”

Poised for a major breakthrough, Jazz stirred up his own wave with singles like “Dead Or Alive,” which clocked over 25 million Spotify streams to date. His widely acclaimed Hotel Paranoia took home “Rap Recording of the Year” at the 2017 Juno Awards. Lil Wayne gave him a rare co-sign, while Post Malone tapped him to open up the North American Hollywood Dreams Tour. By 2018, he had over 100-plus headline shows under his belt in addition to selling out gigs in Europe and performing at Rolling Loud, Osheaga, and more. Teasing out the upcoming album, “Tempted” generated over 14 million-plus Spotify streams and heightened excitement.

A tastemaker favorite, XXL placed him at #1 on its “Canadian Artists You Should Know,” Noisey crowned him, “one of the leaders of a new wave of hip-hop,” and Billboard wrote, “Jazz Cartier reigns from the Canadian capital.” In a review of  “How Did I Get This Deep?”, Pitchfork claimed, “Jazz Cartier has been tipped as the next big rapper out of Toronto, and if the lead single from his forthcoming Fleurever mixtape offers any indication, he may have finally arrived.”
