The new release quickly follows that of Jeanick Fournier’s recent self-titled album, which marked her first full-length project since signing to Universal Music Canada earlier this year. The album debuted at #1 in Québec and #13 on the Billboard Canadian albums chart, marking an instant success for the ultra-talented singer. “Ça ira”, an original song from the album, became the artist’s first Top 30 hit at radio, marking a special moment in her career to date.

With frosty weather on the horizon, the former palliative care beneficiary attendant spreads joy with the two-track release, sharing her angelic vocals with us ahead of the holiday season. The two songs signal the potentiality of a full-length holiday release from the beloved singer in the coming years, who recently won over the hearts of the nation with her incredible performance on Canada’s Got Talent.

I wanted to share this song for the holidays – the story is so nostalgic and paints a touching picture for people who are forced to be far from their loved ones at Christmas or any other holiday celebrated with family and friends. I wanted to interpret it because it is something we can all relate to,” says the Québec native about the new release. “The musical version that my producer Jay Lefebvre made with the help of Jeff Smallwood… it's just wow! In addition to having had the opportunity to see this guitar virtuoso work… I am so grateful for this magnificent experience.” – Jeanick Fournier

In addition to the release of “Song for A Winter’s Night” and “Chanson pour une nuit d’hiver”, Jeanick Fournier recently shared the official music videos for “Moment” and “Ça ira”, two original songs pulled from her self-titled album. The former celebrates the highlights from the 50-year-old artist’s adventure on CGT, showing her Golden Buzzer moment, the judging panel’s stunned reactions to her awe-inspiring voice, and her big win. “Ça ira” is an autobiographical video, taking us into Jeanick’s day as a former palliative care beneficiary attendant before ending her nights as a show-stopping performer, singing for crowds of thousands across the country.
