Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Cirkut, the track brings together alternative R&B, global pop, and Middle Eastern influence, rooted in emotion, identity, and connection, in a moment that resonates across cultures worldwide. Jessie Reyez, celebrated for her raw storytelling and genre-defying sound, has cultivated a global following through fearless, deeply personal artistry, with her forthcoming album A LITTLE VENGEANCE set for release June 12 via FMLY/Island Records. She joins worldwide phenom Elyanna, a leading voice in global music known for blending Arabic, Chilean, and Western pop influences and bringing Middle Eastern sounds to international audiences, including stadium performances with Coldplay. Their collaboration, “Illuminate,” captures a powerful cross-cultural moment, uniting distinct perspectives on a global stage ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Reyez is donating her artist fee from “Illuminate” to charitable causes, while Elyanna intends to support charitable initiatives aligned with this global moment.
“Illuminate” follows the releases of “Lighter” by Jelly Roll & Carín León, “Por Ella” by Los Ángeles Azules & Belinda, and “Echo” by Daddy Yankee & Shenseea, each contributing a distinct cultural perspective and sound to the Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Album. ABOUT JESSIE REYEZ
A certified global phenomenon known for her fearless lyricism and emotive performances, Reyez’s releases have earned press praise from Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar, Associated Press, T Magazine, Genius, People, GRAMMY.com, and more. In recent years, Reyez released her first book of poems, Words of a Goat Princess, contributed to Netflix’s Rebel Moon soundtrack with the single “Child of Fire,” and delivered a unique rendition of “Is This Love” featured on the Bob Marley: One Love – Music Inspired by the Film soundtrack, which went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. A hitmaker behind the scenes, Reyez has penned songs for Dua Lipa, Sam Smith, Kehlani, LISA (BLACKPINK), and Calvin Harris. ABOUT ELYANNA
Elyanna is a Palestinian-Chilean singer known for blending Arabic music with global and Latin influences to create a modern sound shaping a contemporary voice for her generation. Raised in a creative family in Nazareth, she moved to Los Angeles at a young age to pursue her music career internationally. She has gained global recognition through major performances (the first to perform in Arabic at Coachella), collaborations (for instance, “We Pray” with Coldplay), and charting releases, helping bring Arabic music to wider audiences.
