03 APRIL 2026 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, Universal Music Canada / MCA / CORE Records global country force Josh Ross releases “Give ‘Er Hell”, a gritty, no holds-barred anthem that pairs his heart-on-his-sleeve songwriting and warm vocal rasp with his dark modern country edge. Co-penned by Ross and Mason Thornley and produced by longtime collaborator Matt Geroux.

After teasing the new music across socials Ross says, “I’ve had moments where things weren’t going my way, and this song came from that place. It’s about digging deep, trusting yourself, and giving it everything no matter what - even if sometimes that fire in you ends up being the reason you lose something good.”
The release builds on a banner year for Ross, following his highly anticipated full-length debut album Later Tonight, released in September 2025 and produced by Geroux (Complicated EP). The album closes with what Ross refers to as his most vulnerable song to date, “Scared of Getting Sober.” The vocal-driven track finds the singer reflecting on the weight of life on the road while unpacking his relationship with alcohol and processing his feelings after heartbreak. “The main lyric is, I’m scared of getting sober because it’s all downhill the second I do,” Ross shares. “A lot of people would think once you stop is when you would feel better. For me, it was the opposite, because that’s when I lived with my actual thoughts versus being able to mask how I felt. I think it’s a really cool story song. I’m writing from real experiences.” Ross recently delivered a standout performance of “Scared of Getting Sober” on Live! with Kelly & Mark. The song is climbing into top 20 on the radio charts in Canada, while the rock-influenced post-breakup anthem “Hate How You Look” enters top 20 at U.S. radio.

Ross joins Nate Smith as direct support on the Long Live Country Rock & Roll 2026 Tour and will appear at major festivals including Calgary Stampede and Stagecoach this year.

ABOUT JOSH ROSS
Universal Music Canada / MCA / CORE Records artist Josh Ross is carving his own lane in country music. The Canada-born, Nashville-based singer first made waves with a series of independent releases before breaking through with his debut EP, Complicated, which earned Ross his first-ever JUNO Award in 2025 for Country Album of the Year. The project included “Trouble”, a chart-topping hit that achieved Double Platinum certification in Canada and RIAA Gold certification in the U.S. After notching four #1 singles at Canadian Country radio, Ross scored his first #1 hit on U.S. country radio with “Single Again” in 2025, marking a milestone in his burgeoning career. The success of “Single Again” puts him in an elite category as the first male Canadian country artist in nearly 30 years to top the US Country Airplay chart.
Ross continues to build on that momentum with Later Tonight, a collection of 15 songs that show off the smooth singer’s range of emotions and songwriting process, working alongside industry giants such as Ashley Gorley and Ryan Hurd. Having opened for superstars including Luke Bryan and Jelly Roll, Ross is just getting started making his mark on country music.
