JUNO AWARD-WINNING DUO DEAR ROUGE ANNOUNCE THEIR SOPHOMORE ALBUM, PHASES, OUT MARCH 9

02 FEBRUARY 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Today, Juno award-winning Canadian duo Dear Rouge announce their return with the release of sophomore album, PHASES, out March 9 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The follow-up to 2015’s, Black to Gold, PHASES sees the pair collaborating with some of the industry’s most talented acts including Tawgs Salter and Mike Wise, West Coast stalwart Steve Bays, producer Ryan Worsley, pop savant Sterling Fox, and more. Available now for pre-order, the purchase of PHASES includes the instant grat track, “Modern Shakedown” – pre-orders are now available here. See below for full track listing.

“We are so happy to announce the release of PHASES,” said the band. “PHASES will see important moments from our lives throughout the past few years – from the joys we were experiencing, to our pain and hardships. We were very lucky to have had the honour of collaborating with amazing artists on this album to round it into a piece speaking the truth on our lives. We’re so excited to get this out into the world and hope it means as much to our fans as it does to us!”

Dear Rouge’s latest single, “Boys & Blondes” was released this past October and was quickly added to some of Spotify’s most prominent playlists including New Music Now and Indie Pop, and Apple Music’s Best of the Week playlists. The lead single broke into top 10 at Canadian radio and is continuing to climb. Since their debut in 2015 with critically-acclaimed album, Black To Gold, Dear Rouge has become one of Canada’s greatest acts with over 8 million streams globally, a #1 most added single at Canadian Alternative radio and an array of impressive accolades, including a Juno award for “Breakthrough Group of the Year” and the SOCAN Songwriter prize for their single “I Heard I Had”. The duo will be making stops across Canada this Spring as they open for Canadian Juno-Award winning artist LIGHTS and hit the stage at SXSW in Austin, Texas. See below for a full list of tour dates.

Formed in 2012, Danielle and Drew McTaggart are partners in life and music that channel their energies into honing their sinewy, hook-driven indie rock. Both Vancouver natives, the duo has spent their time most recently in New York City writing, recording and perfecting new music. Stay tuned for much more to come from Dear Rouge in 2018.
