Wednesday, 27 June 2012 (Toronto, ON) – Pop superstar Justin Bieber has debuted at #1 on the Nielsen Soundscan Top Albums Chart with his new studio album, BELIEVE (Island Def Jam/Universal Music Canada), selling over 57,000 copies in its first week of release. This marks Bieber’s best one week sales total to date and also the biggest one week sales total for any release so far in 2012. Sales of BELIEVE doubled Bieber’s last studio album, My World 2.0, which scanned over 25,000 copies in its first week of release. Bieber’s combined album sales in Canada now total over one million. BELIEVE, has the best sales total for any first week release since Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto (October 2011). It features the smash single “Boyfriend” and Bieber’s new single, “As Long As You Love Me” featuring Big Sean. Other guest appearances on the album include Ludacris, Nicki Minaj and Drake. BELIEVE is Executive Produced by Scott "Scooter" Braun and Usher Raymond IV; track producers include Max Martin, Mike Posner, MdL, Diplo, Hit-Boy, The Messengers, Zedd, Rodney Jerkins and Bieber’s vocal producer, Kuk Harrell.
