24 NOVEMBER 2014 (Toronto, ON) – Fresh off the success of his September release of Single Mothers, Justin Townes Earle has announced the companion album, Absent Fathers, to be released January 13 via Vagrant/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Absent Fathers was recorded alongside Single Mothers with the intention of a double album but, as Earle began to sequence it, he felt each half took on its own identity and needed to make an individual statement. Combined, their duality perfectly showcases exactly why Justin Townes Earle is considered a forefather of Contemporary Americana. The albums were recorded live with Earle’s four-piece touring band taking only days of rehearsal, to keep the ideas fresh. No overdubs, no other singers, no additional players – just a real, heartfelt performance capturing the moment. Absent Fathers is now available for pre-order along with instant download of first single, Call Ya Momma.   Absent Fathers Track List Farther From Me Why Least I Got The Blues Call Ya Momma Day and Night Round the Bend When the One You Love Loses Faith Slow Monday Someone Will Pay Looking For A Place To Land
