Two Canadian Shows Announced

09 SEPTEMBER 2016 (Toronto, ON) - Alternative act K.I.D has released new music in the form of “Errors”, the first track from their forthcoming full length album for Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.  Despite its upbeat pacing, “Errors” has an underbelly of grit and suburban sadness.  Frontwoman Kara talks of lethargy, medication, failed expectations and ultimately recognizing “there is an error in me.” “Errors,” which was produced by Mike Crossey (The 1975, Wolf Alice, Arctic Monkeys and Foals), premiered exclusively on Fader and is now available everywhere. K.I.D has also released the official lyric video for “Errors” featuring their trademark gas station plastic bag interspersed with technicolor graphics by Nadia Lee Cohen.

K.I.D is comprised of Bobby and Kara, who met as teenagers buying cigarettes from the only clerk in the neighborhood who never asked for proof of age. Hailing from the Toronto suburb of Mississauga, which they call “Misery-Saga,” they have spent the majority of their lives as best friends and have been writing and performing their self-deprecating songs together for years. When asked to describe the genesis of “Errors,” Bobby and Kara note that the song is a comment on “…being part of the first ever generation where one in five people are on anti-depressants and pharmacists are the new drug dealers.” Having honed their live show over the past few years, opening for drag queens, and performing at Mediterranean restaurants that would later get shut down for violating government health regulations, K.I.D is happily hitting the road for their “Cafetouria” making stops in Toronto and Montreal.
