10 OCTOBER 2025 (TORONTO, ON) - Today, singer-songwriter Kalsey Kulyk releases her fiery new single “Smokin’ Gun” via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

The playful new track sees Kalsey leaning into her outlaw country side, playing on the idea of a metaphorical ‘smokin’ gun,’ with the help of twangy guitar riffs and deep pulsating drum kicks.

On the new single, Kalsey notes: “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,” Kalsey remarks, “‘Smokin’ Gun’ is a song that I’ve had in my back pocket for quite a while and I’m over the moon that I get to finally share it with the world.” She continues, “This song is a little more edgy and feisty than previous songs I’ve released but it’s still got a light hearted ness to it with a play on words. I hope you love this one as much as I always have!”

Arriving in stark contrast to her latest single, “Smokin’ Gun” follows up to the carefree summer anthem, “Til I Get To Heaven” released in July. Currently at radio nationwide, “Til I Get To Heaven” - co-written by Kulyk with Liz Rose and Phil Barton - is a fun, relatable track about living life with no regrets.

An established mainstay in the Canadian market, Kulyk is proof that hard work, talent and a clear vision can make waves in country music. With effortlessly bright vocals reminiscent of the classic country era and a knack for vivid storytelling, her songs strike a perfect balance between the deeply personal and the universally relatable. Kalsey Kulyk has enjoyed a lifelong passion for music. Mixing effortlessly rich and bright vocals with lyrics you feel in the guts, Kulyk brings a fresh yet familiar sound to the country music airwaves. Kulyk got hooked on singing and playing the guitar at a young age, taking part in hundreds of talent shows and competitions and winning her first songwriting competition at age 13. When diagnosed with cancer in high school, Kulyk didn’t hit pause on her dreams. Her journey to recovery created songwriting inspiration, and the entire experience solidified Kulyk’s belief in a career in music. Her 2022 hit “Big Deal” captured her playful, high-energy side, topping SiriusXM Country and lighting up dance floors. Kulyk’s breakout single, “Love Me Like an Outlaw,” released in 2023, showcases her further evolution as an artist. With over 2 million streams on Spotify and 200,000 YouTube views, the track has become her highest-performing single to date, climbing to #18 on the Canadian country charts in 2024.
