23 MAY, 2025 (TORONTO, ON) - Today, rising pop-soul artist Kassidy releases his latest single releases, “Useless” via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

Originally inspired by feeling let down by friends, “Useless” speaks to anyone who has been disappointed by someone in their life.
“‘Useless’ was inspired by friends who don’t reach out anymore or won’t make the time or effort the way they used to. It’s about that feeling of always being the one to reach out,” Kassidy explains.
“Somewhere along the way in the writing process, I realized that this concept could also be fitting for a romantic relationship where one of the partners is feeling let down or used. I’m so excited for you to finally hear this song.”
The track’s forthcoming music video, starring Kassidy on one side of a complicated relationship, is set to premiere June 4th.
In addition to the official music video, a live performance video of “Useless,” which features acclaimed keyboardist JaRon Marshall (Black Pumas), is set to arrive on Kassidy’s social channels. This stripped back version highlights the emotional tone of the track and Kassidy’s stunning vocal performance.
With more music, shows and collaborations to come, 2025 is set to be a formative year for Kassidy.
