KATE VOEGELE'S NEW VIDEO 'HEART IN CHAINS' DRAWS INSPIRATION FROM CANADIAN ARTIST LISSY ELLE

CANADIAN TOUR DATES WITH SIMPLE PLAN ANNOUNCED FOR FEBRUARY 2012

TORONTO, ON - September 30, 2011

— Singer, songwriter Kate Voegele will today release her new video, 'Heart In Chains' from her third album, Gravity Happens (Communikate Inc./Universal Music Canada). The new video was inspired by the photography of Canadian artist Lissy Elle and was directed by Grandson & Son. The video captures a feeling of being lost and being held back though lyrical and visual elements.

Commented Kate Voegele: “When I came across Lissy's images, I instantly fell in love with their beauty. Her work is whimsical, dark and embodies the same kind of emotion as the lyrical imagery of Heart in Chains. I love the way they paint a picture that is both thought provoking and powerful. To see them come to life in the video was absolutely awesome for me and something I think every fan of her work will appreciate.”

Lissy Elle is a 17 year-old photographer from Ontario, whose images have reached from one side of the globe to the other. She has a large online presence with over 18,000 followers on Flickr (flickr.com/photos/lissyl). She has been published in literary and fashion magazines in France and the US, photography magazines in Russia and China, book covers in the UK and North America, CD covers in Germany and the US, and has participated in an art show in NYC.

"I was flattered that Kate found inspiration in my images for her Heart In Chains video”, commented Lissy Elle.
