KENDRICK LAMAR, ANTHONY “TOP DAWG” TIFFITH, AND TOP DAWG ENTERTAINMENT RELEASE BLACK PANTHER THE ALBUM MUSIC FROM AND INSPIRED BY

09 FEBRUARY 2018 (Toronto, ON) — Today, Internationally-celebrated Grammy Award-winning global superstar Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment’s CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, release Black Panther The Album Music From and Inspired By via Top Dawg Ent./Aftermath/Interscope Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Lamar and Tiffith are collaborating for the first time to create a musical body of work that features music from and inspired by Marvel Studios’ Black Panther film.

In addition to artist features from ScHoolboy Q, Travis Scott, Swae Lee, Khalid and more, Black Panther The Album Music From and Inspired By includes the charting singles, Pray For Me by The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar, and King’s Dead by Jay Rock, Future, Lamar, and James Blake. Also included, is the lead single, All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar and label mate SZA, which has earned over 68 million streams worldwide. The accompanying music video for the track, directed by Dave Meyers & the little homies, is a chromatic ode to the rich and vibrant wonderland of the film’s fictional African nation Wakanda.

Lamar is regarded as one of the most important, critically acclaimed and creatively inventive artists the world over, and this album further establishes he and Tiffith as forces not only in music, but in film. This collaboration represents the first time in Marvel Cinematic Universe history that Marvel Studios will integrate multiple original recordings created specifically for the film.

Black Panther The Album Music From and Inspired By, is available on all participating digital retailers today, while Marvel Studios’ Black Panther opens in theaters worldwide on February 16.
