26 SEPTEMBER 2025 (TORONTO, ON)Molly Johnson – one of Canada’s all-time greatest vocalists – releases All I See, her latest new EP, today via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

The three-track project signals Molly Johnson’s upcoming musical direction and includes the previously released single “All I See” featuring CUBE, as well as two new songs. The new recordings – “Sunshine Showers” and “Still Believe in Love” – lean into new age soul while still honouring Johnson’s roots in jazz and R&B. All I See is Johnson’s first project release since 2021.

Her long-time trio – Davide Di Renzo on drums, Mike Downes on bass, and Robi Botos on piano – assists across the full EP. “Sunshine Showers” is produced by CUBE and John “Beetle” Bailey. “Still Believe in Love” is Johnson’s take on the JUNO award-winning R&B group Jacksoul’s 2004 song of the same title, produced by Bailey.

The EP launch follows the annual Kensington Market Jazz Festival last weekend, which Johnson organizes each year as the founding artistic director.

Johnson is a 6-time JUNO Award nominee and 2-time winner who started her career in the mid-1960s as a child star, working alongside her brother, Clark Johnson, for legendary Toronto producer Ed Mirvish and appearing in Porgy and Bess, Finian’s Rainbow, and other musicals. She enrolled at the National Ballet School and aspired to become a choreographer.

Johnson went on to become the lead vocalist in two punk-rock bands: Alta Moda in the 1980s and Infidel in the 1990s. She became the first female vocalist in the Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival’s 17-year history to sell out a show on the mainstage. She has sung aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia before Prince Charles and Princess Diana and has performed for Nelson Mandela and Quincy Jones.

In addition to new music, Johnson is currently working on The Black History Project: Canada – an initiative she started to update Canadian history to include its impact and involvement with regards to Black Canadian history and the Underground Railroad.

Stay tuned for more exciting announcements and new music from Molly Johnson.

ABOUT MOLLY JOHNSON:
Recognized as one of Canada’s greatest voices, jazz vocalist Molly Johnson is a mother, singer-songwriter, artist, and philanthropist. Throughout her life-spanning career, she has captivated audiences in Canada and Europe with her original pieces and interpretations of jazz standards. Unsurprisingly, Molly is a laureate of multiple notable awards, including two JUNO Awards, the Governor General’s Award, the Order of Canada, and the Chevalier Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Outside her musical endeavors, Molly is also an avid supporter and patron of the arts. She launched the Kumbaya Festival in 1993 benefitting AIDS hospices and Canadians living with AIDS, contributing directly to the birth of Toronto’s Casey House. Kumbaya remains the largest music fundraiser in Canadian history. As the founding artistic director of Toronto’s Kensington Market Jazz Festival, Molly has introduced hundreds of performers and, in her own words, built a “local jazz festival that reflects the cultural depth” of the immediate music community.
