LIAM PAYNE RELEASES BRAND NEW SINGLE, “FAMILIAR” WITH J BALVIN
20 APRIL 2018 (Toronto, ON) - Liam Payne unveils his brand-new single, “Familiar” with J Balvin. The single, out now on Capitol Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, will feature on Payne’s highly anticipated debut album, due for release later this year.
“Familiar” mixes Latin influences with a throwback R&B club sound to create a track ideal for the summer. Payne appears on the record alongside Balvin - one of Colombia’s biggest musical exports and the 7th most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify - who lends his inimitable reggaeton-infused vocals to this track.
Payne launched his solo career with debut single “Strip That Down” featuring Quavo – the song has sold over 8.5 million units to date, been certified triple platinum in Australia, double platinum in Canada and Ireland, with platinum status in the USA, UK, Italy, New Zealand and Sweden.
Following up “Strip That Down”, was his sophomore single, “Bedroom Floor”, which has over 80 million streams on Spotify, and saw Bella Thorne star alongside Payne for its official video.
Payne’s most recent single was his duet with Rita Ora, “For You”, for the Fifty Shades Freed Official Soundtrack. Since its release, the track has amassed over 130 million streams on Spotify, and the official video has over 100 million views to date. The single was #1 iTunes globally, spent thirteen weeks on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #8, and was #1 on the UK and European airplay charts.
