15 SEPTEMBER 2023 (TORONTO, ON) - Today, French Canadian songstress Lili-Ann De Francesco releases the heartbreaking new single, “blame me” via Maison Barclay Canada / Universal Music Canada. The powerful new ballad has a soft melody and painstakingly honest lyrics that tug at listeners heartstrings.

Pristinely written by Lili with her friend NOA and producer Derek Hoffman (Arkells) the single speaks to the conflicting self-doubt that comes with heartbreak. We hear a vulnerable side to Lili-Ann as she sings emotionally raw lyrics like, “Damn I think I, just rolled the dice, showed up for dinner, ready to cry.”
On the new single, Lili-Ann notes: “‘Blame me’ speaks for itself. I wrote it with NOA and Derek Hoffman when I realized I was the one to blame for my pain. This song comes from a pattern I have with myself and slowly I’m healing from it. This song is therapeutic for me and hopefully will be for a lot of people.”
Coinciding with the release of “blame me,” Lili-Ann announces the brand-new Inhale EP coming soon. Today’s announcements arrive on the heels of the empowering recent single, “heartless” and its accompanying music video.
Earlier this Summer, Lili-Ann made her debut performance at Osheaga where she performed two separate sets to Montreal fans.

ABOUT LILI-ANN DE FRANCESCO:
Music has been an integral part of Lili-Ann De Francesco’s life since the early age of seven. Born and raised in Sainte-Adèle, Quebec, Lili performed with her father during much of her youth - appearing on stages as big as Quebec’s La Voix in 2015, making history as the show’s youngest contender ever and in 2019, released her first project, a self-titled, bilingual EP, which was a staple moment in her career. Lili is an authentic and intentional creator, who transfers candid emotions from her life experiences into her music, and also champions being an inspiration to others who face similar challenges.
