28 April 2017 (Toronto, ON) – Today, Logic releases a powerful new track “1-800-273-8255” (National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid ahead of his highly anticipated album EVERYBODY out May 5 via Def Jam Recordings/Visionary Music Group /Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. For the release of “1-800-273-8255”, Logic has partnered with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), an organization which provides free and confidential emotional support and crisis counseling to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Together, Logic and the Lifeline have created several video montages composed of Logic’s fans expressing how his music has personally saved and brought positivity into their lives.

Watch the videos HERE and HERE.

These real life stories provided the inspiration for “1-800-273-8255,” which details a person on the verge of suicide and their conversation with a Lifeline counselor. Throughout his career, countless fans have expressed that Logic’s music and message of peace, love and positivity has saved their lives. Says Logic: “In 1-800, we hear a person at the end of their rope who has called the suicide prevention lifeline. Plain and simply; they are ready to commit suicide, feeling they have nowhere else to turn and are expressing the reasons why they wish to commit this act. We then hear words from the perspective of the lifeline operator who in turn gives them many reasons to keep fighting for their life; expressing that this act is a permanent solution to a temporary situation. Finally, we hear the caller express their new lease on life and outlook on a life that they thought was over but had actually been far from it all along." Leading up to the release of Everybody on May 5, Logic has teased fans with the release of the title track as well as the jubilant “Black Spiderman” music video (7+ Million YouTube Views). Additionally, Logic revealed the intricate album artwork featuring the eclectic line-up of those involved in the project: Neil deGrasse Tyson, Killer Mike, Alessia Cara, Khalid, Juicy J and more. Everybody is the eagerly awaited follow-up to The Incredible True Storyn (2015) and Under Pressure, Logic’s Def Jam debut of 2014, shocked the industry which both projects have accumulated over 80K consumption in Canada to date. Last year, Logic co-headlined The Endless Summer Tour; a 25-city, sold-out amphitheater/arena run with G-Eazy. Logic - the 27-year-old rapper born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II  - broke free from the pack with Under Pressure.  Hailed as one of the year’s finest hip-hop debuts, Huffington Post crowned Under Pressure “2014's Best Hip-Hop Album So Far,” iTunes named it “Best Hip Hop Album 2014,” Artist Direct called it “The Best Debut of 2014,” and MTV News nominated it as “Rap Album Of The Year Contender.”  The buzz earned Logic performances on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lollapalooza, Wireless Festival UK, Governor’s Ball, and a headline world tour. Logic’s monster 18-track long-player The Incredible True Story (November 2015) crafted a sci-fi space odyssey script that developed throughout the interludes on the album, and cemented Logic’s status as one of music's most creative young MCs.  His 2016 Incredible World Tour crisscrossed the U.S. and Canada from February through April.  “Bobby Tarantino,” his summer 2016 mixtape, upped the ante, as Billboard declared “Logic heats up the summer with a new banger,” while additional raves were piled on by Pitchfork, Spin, and Complex.
