LUKE BRYAN DEBUTS AT #1 WITH ‘SPRING BREAK…HERE TO PARTY’

      (Toronto, ON. – 13 March 2013) – Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, is pleased to announce that recording artist Luke Bryan has his first #1 album in Canada with Spring Break…Here To Party. The album, released March 5, topped the Canadian Nielsen SoundScan Top Current Album Chart with 11,337 combined units sold in the first week.   Spring Break…Here To Party is the fifth inception of Luke Bryan’s Spring Break series, and the first full length version that is available both physically and digitally. The album contains 14 tracks; 12 of which were previously released digitally, and 2 brand new tracks: “Just a Sip” and “Buzzkill”. The previous four versions of Spring Break have sold over 14,000 copies, and roughly 40,000 tracks.   Luke Bryan also celebrates success south of the border this week with the album debuting at #1 in the US, accompanied by appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Conan. Bryan will cohost the Academy of Country Music Awards April 7, and is nominated in four categories (Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year - Tailgates and Tanlines, and Vocal Event of the Year for “The Only Way I Know” with Jason Aldean & Eric Church).   Fans can look forward to a new studio album from Bryan in late 2013, and a Canadian tour date June 29th at Dauphin’s Countryfest (Dauphin, MB).
