NEW SINGLE — “GO OFF” — OUT TODAY – WATCH VIDEO HERE

15 JULY 2016 (Toronto, ON) — M.I.A. will release her fifth studio album, titled A.I.M. on September 9 via Interscope Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.  The record will feature her brand-new single, “Go Off,” which is out today. The track — a hypnotic, bass-heavy amalgam of hip-hop, electro, and global beats - was produced by Skrillex and frequent M.I.A. collaborator Blaqstarr.  An accompanying video for “Go Off” premiered today on Vevo. Directed by M.I.A., the video features images of controlled underground explosions in the desert that capture the fiery nature of the song. Her previous single and video, the politically charged “Borders,” addressed the refugee crisis and the current global state of affairs — a topic that M.I.A., who escaped the violence of a civil war in Sri Lanka as a small child, has been vocal about throughout her career and will continue to touch on in her new album. miauk.com
