MADISON CUNNINGHAM SHARES NEW ALBUM ACE
OUT NOW ON VERVE FORECAST
PERFORMED SINGLE “BREAK THE JAW” ON JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!
“These 14 songs step beyond the folk pleasantry of her last decade, into sentiments and sounds grander than anything she’s ever done.” –The New York Times
10 OCTOBER 2025 (TORONTO, ON) — Today, Los Angeles singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham releases her highly anticipated third studio album, Ace. This album, out now on Verve Forecast, was co-produced by Cunningham and Robbie Lackritz (Feist, Bahamas, Peach Pit), and felt both pivotal and necessary for Cunningham to write. Listen to Ace here and order the album, including exclusive color vinyl and signed copies of Ace, here.
Earlier this week, Cunningham performed the biting and beautiful standout single, “Break The Jaw” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, watch here. Cunningham sings,”I put my weight in your arms and I fell right through,” as she contemplates heartbreak and the promise of forever.
The renowned guitarist and true artist’s artist presents a fourteen-track album that is honest and full of heart, even as it breaks. A follow up to her GRAMMY award-winning album, Revealer (2022), Cunningham wanted to step into her own lane on Ace, leading with her emotions, following whatever path they showed her. As piano moves into the foreground on opener “Shatter Into Form,” unspooling gently into “Shore,” Cunningham’s piano is soft and searching. “I wanted it to feel like a mountain peak,” says Cunningham, “I wanted Ace to feel like a mountain we built together.”
To celebrate Ace’s release, Cunningham will be performing two special shows in Los Angeles on Oct. 9 at the Largo and in New York City on Oct. 26 at National Sawdust. Cunningham’s The Ace Tour begins on January 6th, 2026 in San Francisco and continues throughout the US and Europe. Find tickets here.

Last month, Madison released her second single “Wake,” featuring Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes. The pair of songwriters presented a delicate, dazzling song featuring Cunningham on dueling acoustic guitars. You can listen to “Wake” here and watch Cunningham’s live solo performance video here.
Named by Hozier as one of the “most talented creative forces of our generation,” Madison Cunningham is a singer-songwriter and guitarist with two previous albums on Verve Forecast, Who Are You Now (2019) and Revealer (2022), which won the GRAMMY for “Best Folk Album.” She’s collaborated as a guitarist and as a vocalist with countless artists including Lucy Dacus, Remi Wolf, Mumford & Sons, Lucius, and Andrew Bird, among others.
