16 March 2017 (TORONTO, ON) – The Brooklyn based alternative electronic pop duo Marian Hill comprised of Jeremy Lloyd [production/songwriting] and Samantha Gongol [vocals/songwriting], have just unveiled the new music video for their recent single, Down released via Republic Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The track exploded in popularity after it was featured in the Apple AirPods Ad campaign featuring freestyle dancer, Lil' Buck, who listens to the track while Memphis Jookin his way through the streets of Mexico City. “Down” has hit #1 on the Canadian and US Shazam Charts. “Down” is also climbing the radio charts in Canada with major adds coming in coast to coast. Since the short film's debut in January, "Down" has rocketed to #1 on the iTunes Electronic Single Chart and #3 on the overall iTunes Singles Chart. The 2016 album, ACT ONE also reached #1 on the iTunes Electronic Album Chart and peaked at #8 overall. This comes shortly after Marian Hill's single with Lauren Jauregui of Fifth Harmony on their new track “Back To Me” which was also an instant hit that went to #1 on iTunes’ Electronic Top Songs Chart and reached Top 20 Overall. Marian Hill has also just announced their first run of 2017 tour dates starting this May. In association with the charity organization Plus 1, one dollar from every Marian Hill ticket sold will be donated to Planned Parenthood, ACLU, or NRDC.
