19 JUNE 2026 (TORONTO, ON) — Today, GRAMMY® nominated artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Masego releases his new single “Breathe” out now via Capitol Records. The track marks a new era for Masego, revealing a deeper vulnerability as he reflects life’s trials and tribulations through his most honest songwriting yet. LISTEN HERE.

“Breathe” delivers the rich musicality that has become synonymous with Masego’s artistry, while revealing a more introspective and emotionally exposed side of the artist. The track is anchored by poignant lyricism, the raw sincerity of Masego’s vocal performance, and a stirring choir-led chorus. Inspired by the experience of navigating the loss of a family member amid the demands of a fast-moving career, “Breathe” explores the tension between personal grief and professional obligation. Its cyclical melodies and understated production mirror the emotional weight of that experience, creating an intimate listening environment where vulnerability takes center stage and resonates long after the song ends.

“‘Breathe’ is an actual real-life story,” Masego says, “about me trying to process a death in a family, but then having to go into a meeting, and then a studio session, and then travel, and then some other industry shit. It made me want more consideration for the fact that the artist's job is not unionized, we don't have health care, and it's just like, ‘Hey, go do a bunch of whatever and we'll make some money off it.’ I'm able to be less cynical about it because I'm a big anime fan, and there are principles in anime like, if you want to get stronger, it comes with a cost.”

Earlier this month, Masego unveiled his expansive 40+ date Fix Your Face Tour — his first headline run in nearly three years. Spanning cities across the globe, the tour will deliver the vibrant energy, artistry, and musical versatility that have become hallmarks of Masego’s live experience. Tickets on sale now.

Kicking off on August 4 in Dallas, Masego will perform at renowned venues including The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and The O2 in London to name a few. The Live Nation produced tour will also feature music from his forthcoming project, translating the record’s emotional depth, honesty, and intensity into a powerful live setting.
