From August 8-10, mgk will be celebrating the new album release in his hometown in Cleveland, Ohio, for the annual MGK Day (Official MGK Day is August 13). Fans will savour everything Cleveland-bred, as the weekend-long activation will feature music, food, vendors and more. This year’s celebration includes an XX-Con Release Event, Skate Event with Street League Skateboarding, City Ride with Harley Davidson, Monster Energy Celebrity Basketball Game powered by Webull (free to the public), and the main event the MGK Day Art + Community Festival and more. mgk has had a massive lead-up to the lost americana album release. The GRAMMY-nominated musician recently appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, where he performed his two singles “outlaw overture” and “vampire diaries” from the album. Earlier this week, mgk hosted an intimate album release underplay pop-up show at Cellar Dog in New York City. The following day he appeared with Jenna Bush Hagar and Matt Rogers in studio at the Today Show to announce an intimate free road trip across America bringing lost americana to fans via underground shows across the country next week. In Ontario, Canada, the first 200 fans who came and pre-ordered the album were able to do a meet and greet with him at Sunrise Records. He also did another pop-up performance in Toronto at the Horseshoe Tavern. Additionally, mgk was a guest on ABC News on their Prime Playlist Shuffle series, where he spoke about themes of reinvention while creating lost americana. mgk also announced on The Pat McAfee Show that his single, ““don’t wait run fast” (aka “run rebel run” on physical releases), serves as the official anthem for ESPN’s College Football 2025-2026 season. To cap off the year, mgk is set to headline the 30^th Anniversary Vans Warped Tour in Orlando, FL on November 15-16. He will also headline Mobile Zone at Sphere Stage during the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX on November 20-22.

The renowned superstar eclipsed genre expectations by releasing the widely acclaimed album Tickets to My Downfall in 2020. The platinum album topped the Billboard 200 and became his first No. 1 effort. The album landed 18 tracks on the Hot Rock Songs chart. Platinum singles, “bloody valentine" and "my ex’s best friend," both went No. 1 at Alternative. His follow-up album, mainstream sellout, became his second album to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for a 2023 Grammy Award for “Best Rock Album” and was supported with a sold-out stadium and arena North American and Europe tour. The US leg ended in mgk’s hometown of Cleveland at the Huntington Bank Stadium playing to 50,000 fans, making him the first and only Ohio native to sell out the stadium.
