13 MARCH 2026 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, 2x GRAMMY®-nominated, multi-platinum superstar Noah Kahan unveils his latest single, “Porch Light,” the newest offering from his highly anticipated fourth studio album, The Great Divide, arriving April 24th via Mercury Records. The song was written by Kahan alongside GRAMMY®-winning producer Aaron Dessner (Taylor Swift, Bon Iver) during their first-ever session together, and produced by Kahan, Dessner, and acclaimed producer and Stick Season collaborator Gabe Simon (Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, Koe Wetzel). It was recorded between Dessner’s famed Long Pond Studio in Hudson, NY and Gold Pacific Studios in Nashville. Listen to “Porch Light” now HERE.
“Porch Light” is inspired by the emotional weight Kahan believes he placed on his family by opening up their lives throughout his creative narrative and lyrical storytelling on Stick Season. The track finds the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter adopting his mother’s perspective as he sings, “I hope you tell me that you’re winding down / That you’ve lost the taste to face the crowd / That whatever made you famous made you sick / That you can only do what pain allows / It ain’t up to you to make it out / And there ain’t no shame in callin’ this thing quits.”
Following the release of The Great Divide this April, Kahan will bring the new album to life on his sold-out The Great Divide Tour this summer across North America, which has sold more than 1 million tickets to date and includes four record-breaking performances at Boston’s Fenway Park—making the beloved New Englander the first artist ever to play and sell out four nights at the iconic venue. The 30-date tour kicks off with back-to-back nights on June 11th and 12th in Orlando, FL before heading to Philadelphia, Toronto, Boston, Chicago, New York, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and more, wrapping on August 31st in Seattle, WA. Gigi Perez will support on all dates, with Annabelle Dinda joining on the majority of shows.
This year will also see the release of Kahan’s long-awaited documentary, Noah Kahan: Out of Body, coming soon to Netflix. Premiering on March 16th at SXSW, Noah Kahan: Out of Body shows Kahan at a crossroads as he begins to work on The Great Divide while facing the mounting pressure of what comes next following the breakout success of Stick Season. Over a whirlwind year of sold-out tours and unprecedented acclaim, he returns to his Vermont roots and family to search for a sense of home and creative inspiration as he confronts the deeply personal struggles that have left him out of sync with himself.
The Great Divide has been hailed as one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year, with Billboard already declaring it one of 2027’s GRAMMY® Album Of The Year contenders. Upon its release in January, the album’s title track, “The Great Divide,” became the second biggest song debut of 2026 and is Kahan’s first #1 on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart. The single also debuted at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, becoming Kahan’s highest charting song of his career surpassing “Stick Season.” Globally, “The Great Divide” is his highest charting single debut around the world, including Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, and the Netherlands. On the radio front, the track captured the quickest rise to #1 on the Adult Alternative Airplay Chart in a decade and has held the #1 spot on the Alternative Airplay Chart for the past five weeks. ABOUT NOAH KAHAN:
Two-time GRAMMY®-nominated, multi-platinum Vermont singer-songwriter Noah Kahan has risen from his New England roots to become a globally resonant voice of his generation. Across his career, Kahan has amassed nearly 15 billion global streams, sold nearly 12 million global albums, earned 22 Platinum and Gold certifications, and sold over 2 million tickets worldwide. In addition to receiving two GRAMMY® nominations, he’s been recognized by the BRIT Awards, Billboard Music Awards, iHeart Radio Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, Americana Honors & Awards, and more.
Kahan’s critically acclaimed breakthrough 2022 album Stick Season became a cultural phenomenon. Over the span of two years, the 4x Platinum album and its 8x Platinum title track reached number one across North America, the UK, and Europe, becoming the fourth best-selling album of 2024 and remaining in the Top 15 more than three years after its release. In 2023 following the release of Stick Season, Kahan launched his mental health non-profit, The Busyhead Project, which has raised over $6.6 million to date in support of its mission to increase awareness around the importance of mental health.
Now, Kahan enters his next artistic era with The Great Divide, his fourth studio album, due April 24th via Mercury Records. Written in the wake of his rapid rise to global fame, the album finds Kahan at his most honest, reflective, and emotionally resonant—grappling with success, identity, family, distance, and the unspoken truths that separate people from one another. Produced by acclaimed producer and Stick Season collaborator Gabe Simon (Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, Koe Wetzel) alongside GRAMMY®-winning producer Aaron Dessner (Taylor Swift, Bon Iver), The Great Dividebuilds on Kahan’s signature storytelling while pushing his sound into more expansive, anthemic, and sonically adventurous territory. In support of the new album, Kahan will embark on a sold-out The Great Divide Tour this summer, headlining stadiums across North America for his biggest tour to date. At the heart of Noah Kahan’s music remains the same guiding purpose that first drew fans in: honest storytelling, shared vulnerability, and songs that help listeners feel understood.
