RE:VISIONS EP RELEASED DIGITALLY TODAY

15 NOVEMBER 2019 (TORONTO, ON) - Following the success of his Southbank takeover OPIA last Friday, ground-breaking composer, musician and producer Ólafur Arnalds shares his new live EP re:visions, out digitally today via Mercury KX/Universal Music Canada, the country's leading music company.

re:visions will also be available as a limited edition vinyl as part of the re:member deluxe box-set, out on Mercury KX/Universal Music Canada on December 6. Ólafur also reveals the stunning new video for brot (Lisboa). Speaking of the track, he says:

brot (Lisboa) has been through so many changes since I first wrote it to a hip hop beat I made with a producer friend. I ended up removing that beat (sorry bngrboy) and just leaving the orchestra part beautifully recorded at Air Studios. And now, this live version sits somewhere in the middle of it all.”

Following the success of his critically-acclaimed album re:member and an extensive global tour, Ólafur Arnalds will release a special deluxe edition of his 2018 release re:member, with 4 LPs featuring brand new choir and string quartet arrangements and live reworks (re:visions). British vocal group VOCES8 perform stunning choral arrangements of tracks momentary, partial and nyepi, recorded specially for this project.

Also included in the release is an exclusive LP of new material, consisting of meditative extended sonic textures played on his patented Stratus Pianos, a photobook documenting Ólafur’s 140+ date re:member tour and four limited-edition art prints.

Internationally celebrated for his haunting musical style, Ólafur captivatingly combines elements of ambient, classical, electronic and even elements of pop and rock. re:member follows the success of his innovative musical project Island Songs (2016). Ólafur has also been praised for extensive soundtrack work, more recently composing the score for ITV’s Broadchurch, for which he won the 2014 BAFTA for Best Original Music.
