THE REKLAWS RELEASE THREE-SONG EP LONG LIVE THE NIGHT

FEATURES SONG WITH LABEL MATE JAMES BARKER BAND

16 FEBRUARY 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Today, Canadian country duo The Reklaws release their three-song EP, Long Live The Night, via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Available for stream/purchase HERE, Long Live The Night sees the duo pairing up with writers Travis (T-Buck) Wood and Todd Clark, for the anthemic title track “Long Live The Night”, collaborating with label mates James Barker Band for the satirical Stuart Walker led track, “Wish You Were Beer”, and sees Jenna Walker taking the lead on the cheeky ‘girls night out’-worthy jam, “Last Call”. The release of the Long Live The Night EP will be supported with a string of live performances across Ontario including stops in Hamilton, London, and Mississauga. See below for a full list of dates and track listing.

“We are beyond excited to release our EP today,” said the band. “We’ve been working so hard on new music that spoke to exactly who we are and we think what we’ve written on this record will resonate with a lot of different people. From the lyrics to the sound, we tried to incorporate different vibes that we were influenced by whether it was pop, hip hop, country or rap. We can’t wait to show everyone what else we’ve been working on!”

Long Live The Night arrives as the follow-up to The Reklaws’ debut single, “Hometown Kids”, which quickly charted at #15 on Canadian Country radio and #11 on the Spotify Canada Viral 50 during release week in June 2017. The hit track also garnered over 1 million Spotify streams and major playlist adds including Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s “PM Mix”.

Raised in rural Ontario, The Reklaws consists of brother-sister duo Stuart and Jenna Walker. They began to turn heads in 2012 when they were awarded the CCMA Discovery Artist title followed by the 2013 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase title, which included a release with Big Machine Label Group. The hard-working hours of relentless songwriting in Nashville paid off, as the pair have emerged with an infectiously authentic sound that is “soundtrack-to-your-summer” kind of material. Since then, they have hosted stages and shared the same stages with some of country’s best including Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Thomas Rhett and more. The Reklaws took the summer of 2017 by a storm with the release of their debut single “Hometown Kids”, and a major label debut with Universal Music Canada. With more music and live dates coming very soon, The Reklaws are sure to leave their imprint in the country music world.
