06 MARCH 2023 – Today, Republic Records: Kids & Family announced their signing of ARIA Hall of Fame inductee, singer, songwriter, actor, and performer Sam Moran.  This union marks the celebrated children’s artist’s first release under the newly formed division within Republic Records.  Moran’s first single is to be released later this month.

“There is no other team that I would rather be working with than Republic Kids.  The energy and creativity they are bringing to my debut project is exactly what I was looking for when venturing out on my own,” says award-winning artist Sam Moran.  “We have so many surprises in store that I know my fans are going to love so, get ready!”

“When launching Republic Kids I knew I had to sign Sam as an artist,” says Bree Bowles, VP, Marketing and Strategy.  “He is the perfect complement to our mission of producing world-class music that can be enjoyed by both kids and their parents. Sam's musical talents are beloved by so many and these new efforts will help to redefine the future of “kids” music.”

Sam Moran’s first single, with a very special surprise guest, will be premiering later this month.

“Children have had a particularly hard time emerging from the pandemic and there’s no better way to help them rediscover themselves than through music” Sam muses.  “I want to give them a voice that reflects how they see the world; with, of course, a bunch of fun along the way!”

With a Masters degree in Screen Business and an Honorary Doctorate in Child Development, the music would seem to also pave the way for more to come from the alliance between Sam Moran and Republic Records: Kids & Family.

About Sam Moran

Fluent in the language of children, Sam Moran certainly knows how to entertain, engage, and empathize with kids. He does so not only from the perspective of an award-winning artist, but also as a father and, always, as a proud kid at heart. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Sam devoted his entire life to music. From studying Classical Voice and Music Education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, a serendipitous turn of events led to an audition for The Wiggles. He joined the collective in 1998 and by 2006, had become the “Yellow Wiggle” and lead singer. As the voice of the group, his discography spanned 10 albums and 13 DVDs in addition to various specials and the TV series—The Wiggles, Wiggle and Learn, and The Wiggles: Wiggly TV. Touching down on multiple continents, he performed 18 sold-out shows at the legendary Madison Square Garden with The Wiggles. During this time, he also impressively garnered five ARIA Awards and earned a spot in the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2011.

Stepping out solo, he starred, hosted, and produced four seasons of Play Along With Sam for Nickelodeon Australia accompanied by a string of original solo albums. 2015 saw him snag his first solo ARIA Award in the category of “Best Children’s Album” for Play Along With Sam: Boo! ; ahead of his former bandmates. Now, Sam delivers an uplifting, yet fun message on a series of 2023 singles and his forthcoming debut for Republic Records: Kids & Family.
