“unpredictable thinGs” not only marks Rio’s farewell to 2023 but also serves as the sonic bridge between his last EP, Disturb The Norm, and the eagerly anticipated releases of 2024. Following the EP, Rio shared a collection of tracks including “crying at the Orgy,” a glitchy and gloomy adventure, “the Rake (can’t complain),” an angsty track with intimate lyrics and rapid-fire percussion changes that rapidly grew on TikTok, and “waiting alonE,” which received praise and continued support from Billboard, Remezcla, Ones To Watch, and more.
2023 has been an exciting year for the up-and-comer. The NJ native has been on a thrilling adventure, crisscrossing the map and setting stages ablaze with his unforgettable performances. He kicked off his first headlining, sold out, RIORAVE tour and performed to wild crowds in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, and New York before finishing up in Chicago. He then made his way overseas for three additional shows and this summer performed at Pharrell Williams’ Something In The Water. In the fall, he continued on the second leg of his sold-out tour.
