Rising Artist Tommy Genesis Debuts New Single “Tommy”

 

 

22 September 2017 (Toronto, ON) - Vocalist, songwriter and producer Tommy Genesis debuts “Tommy” produced by Charlie Heat (Grammy-nominated for his work on Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo) today via Downtown/Interscope/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

“Tommy is a song I wrote about one half of my split personality,” says Genesis. “It’s become the way I represent myself in most social situations. It’s just a rap song, it’s also a pure representation of Tommy without Genesis (you’ll meet her later).”

The track is the first single to be released from Genesis since her 2015 mixtape, World Vision, which was released to critical acclaim from the likes of Vogue, The FADER, Dazed, Noisey, Elle, W, PAPER and many more. In demand in the fashion world, Genesis has appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein and recently performed at Miu Miu’s Resort 2017 show. Of half-Swedish, half-Tamil descent, Genesis was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada.
