30 MAY 2025 (TORONTO, ON) – Kickstarting the summer in style, rising R&B Pop star Chxrry (f/k/a Chxrry22) is back with a statement-making and self-empowering new single entitled “Main Character” out now via XO Records/Republic Records/Universal Music Canada.

She initially previewed the track on social media. Her original TikTok impressively sparked over 17K creates on the platform, stoking anticipation for its official release. The production’s neon synth loop and punchy 808s underline an undeniable performance from the R&B Pop maverick. Fueled by this head-nodding bounce, she emanates bravado and charisma on the verses, showing out on the chorus with a declaration, “I’m the main character.” It’s a powerful proclamation, and it hints at a whole lot more to come.
In February, she ignited this era with “Just Like Me.” Beyond reeling in millions of streams, it received tastemaker applause.
