(07 August 2013 – Toronto, ON)BLURRED LINES, the new studio album from R&B/Soul singer-songerwriter, Robin Thicke, has today debuted at #1 on the Canadian Nielsen SoundScan chart, selling 13,402 copies in its first week. BLURRED LINES, released July 30 through Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, is Robin’s first #1 debut in Canada and features Robin’s 6X platinum global hit and title track, as well as his upcoming single, “Give It 2 U”, featuring Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz. The album is available in a standard 11-song package, as well as a deluxe package that features three bonus tracks. “Blurred Lines”, featuring Pharrell and T.I. has sold over 490,225 singles to-date and holds the status of highest one-week sales total for a single in 2013. The single has spent 11 weeks atop the Canadian SoundScan Digital Songs chart, and has been the first single since Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” to achieve a #1 status for 10 consecutive weeks in a row.
