22 AUGUST 2025 (TORONTO, ON) — Two of the hottest hitmakers in the game, Sammy Virji and Chris Lake, collide on the irresistible new single ‘925’, a certified heater and the latest from Virji’s forthcoming Same Day Cleaning album, due on 19th September.
This is the second single Chris and Sammy have collaborated on, after their 2024 hit ‘Summertime Blues’, now at 36 million streams. On ‘925’, they deliver bass house at its sleekest and most refined. Tension simmers, and the track builds with a rich atmosphere before gliding into a rolling, understated house-y groove, opening up for a seriously infectious vocal hook.
It’s the latest from the upcoming 16-track project Same Day Cleaning, Sammy’s sophomore album, due out on 19th September. The track is in solid company, joining singles ‘I Guess We’re Not The Same’, ‘Nostalgia’ ft. Issey Cross, ‘Dis Badman’ with Champion & IRAH, and of course, May’s ‘Cops & Robbers’, featuring grime icon Skepta. A debut Top 40 UK single for Sammy, this instant hit was the highlight of Skepta’s Glastonbury Festival show in July, airing live to millions on BBC One (clip here).
Sammy Virji is widely credited with leading the global resurgence of UKG, fusing classic swing with modern bass weight. Nominated for Best Producer at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards in 2023, Sammy has been unstoppable this summer - from a surprise Times Square pop-up and a debut stadium show at Forest Hills, to tearing up stages at Hideout, NOS Alive, Mad Cool, and Tomorrowland, in the middle of a stacked touring schedule that includes upcoming shows at All Points East, and Reading and Leeds Festivals and US tour this summer.
‘925’, the latest single from Sammy Virji’s upcoming album Same Day Cleaning, is out on 22nd August on all platforms.
