25 JULY 2025 (TORONTO, ON) — Sammy Virji teams up with UK bass heavyweight Champion and distinctive vocalist IRAH for his explosive new single, ‘Dis Badman’, out 25th July.

On co‑production duties is producer and DJ Champion, an underrated titan of the UK bass scene, currently enjoying a sharp resurgence. He’s behind club-smash ‘Hot In Here’, also with Sammy Virji, and the star-studded ‘Talk To Me’ with Four Tet, Skrillex, and Naisha. A pioneer of UK Funky, Champion is regularly tapped up by Four Tet for his curated events, including his recent DRUMSHEDS takeover and the incredible New York Four Tet & Friends
event in May.

On vocal duties is MC IRAH, the powerful voice behind countless Drum & Bass hits, including the Top 5 UK single ‘Baddadan’ with Chase & Status. Known for his deep, conscious lyricism and commanding live presence, IRAH is rooted in sound system culture and has collaborated with artists like Flowdan, The Bug, Mala, and more. Whether dominating stages or voicing bass-heavy club tracks, he brings raw intensity and spiritual depth, making him a true underground icon with a global following.

‘Dis Badman’ is taken from Sammy’s anticipated sophomore album, Same Day Cleaning. Dropping in September, its singles include ‘Nostalgia’ ft. Issey Cross, and of course, May’s Cops & Robbers’, a huge collaboration with UK grime icon Skepta. A debut Top 40 UK
single for Sammy, ‘Cops & Robbers’ was the highlight of Skepta’s Glastonbury show in July, successfully sending the Other Stage crowd into a frenzy live on BBC One (clip here).

The London-based Sammy Virji is widely credited with leading the global resurgence of UKG, fusing classic swing with modern bass weight. Nominated for Best Producer at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards in 2023, Sammy has been unstoppable this summer — from a surprise Times Square pop-up (13th June) and a debut stadium show at Forest Hills (14th), to tearing up stages at Hideout, NOS Alive, Mad Cool, and Tomorrowland, as well as Ibiza’s first-ever ‘hyperclub’, [UNVRS]., in the middle of a stacked touring schedule including shows at All Points East Return 2 Dance (Chase & Status), Reading Festival and ‘Dis Badman’, the latest surefire hit from Sammy Virji’s highly anticipated album Same Day Cleaning – due on 19th September – drops on 25th July.
