17 OCTOBER 2025 (TORONTO, ON) – Singer songwriter on the rise, Sarah Vanderzon releases her soul soothing debut EP, Fortune Teller, out today via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The EP captures the greater Montreal area native’s fresh and insightful sound while emphasizing her genre bending versatility with tracks that simultaneously lean into Americana, folk and country genres. Her outstanding vocals are showcased throughout with sweeping choruses and varying vocal crescendos. Her unique sound and impressive songwriting abilities enable her to carve her own path in the current music scene.

On Fortune Teller, Sarah notes: “I’d like to think that my EP is what a first date should feel like — honest and easy-going —and that’s exactly what this record is all about.”
Comprised of six tracks produced by Jordan Honsinger (Patrick James Clark, Morgan Griffiths) at his Nashville home studio and mixed by Jordan Oorebeek (Kalsey Kulyk, Sully Burrows), the collection includes four new tracks including the latest bluegrass inspired cover of Tracy Chapman’s 1995 classic single, “Give Me One Reason” released last month as well as Vanderzon’s sweet and soulful debut single “Are You With Me?” released in August alongside an accompanying music video.
Coinciding with today’s release, Vanderzon drops the official music video for the EP’s title track, “Fortune Teller”. Directed by Sara Basso, the visuals exemplify Vanderzon’s personality and charismatic yet laid back stage presence as we see her playing her guitar in an old barn and walking through greenery with her canine companion by her side.

Vanderzon’s versatility shines throughout from the rollicking folk infused title track, “Fortune Teller” to the cheeky, country-flavoured "Hey Partner", which tells a tale of a cowboy in a singles bar who can’t take a hint. The smooth sound of “Rent Free”, filled with pop culture references and a smooth-as-honey melody, and soft-spoken ballad, “Losing You” show another side to Sarah with a slower pace and ballad style production.
Fortune Teller serves Vanderzon's resilient alto as an amplifier to her heartfelt narratives about love, attraction, loyalty and heartbreak: all delivered with potent melodies that underscore her universally relatable lyrics.
Most recently, Sarah performed for the CCMA Songwriters’ Unplugged event on September 11, as part of Country Music Week 2025 in Kelowna B.C. Throughout the week she also hit the stage for the CCMA Country PRIDE Event and multiple private events in the city. Earlier this summer, after winning the 2024 Emerging Artists Showcase at the Canadian country music mega-fest Boots & Hearts, Sarah returned to the country music festival to perform her new songs. Sarah also participated in LASSO 2025 in her hometown of Montreal.
