08 AUGUST 2025 (TORONTO, ON) – Singer songwriter on the rise, Sarah Vanderzon releases her anthemic debut single “Are You With Me?” out today. The single arrives as the first track off Vanderzon’s forthcoming debut EP, Fortune Teller, announced for release on October 17.

On the new single and debut EP Sarah notes, “I’d like to think that my EP is what a first date should feel like — honest and easy-going —and that’s exactly what this record is all about.” She continues, “‘Are You With Me’ was originally written as an open letter to my partner, and the song quickly became a crowd favourite while testing the first version of it at live shows.”
“Are You With Me?” is a sweet and soulful track that showcases Vanderzon’s vocal control and range as she sweeps through the musical bars with ease. The song is sculpted by the storyline of a musician's endless life of traveling and performing in different venues, some populated and some empty - and asking a significant other whether they're in the relationship for the long haul.
The track arrives as the first taste of debut EP, Fortune Teller, a collection of songs that announces the arrival of a fresh, insightful and enjoyable singer-songwriter in Sarah Vanderzon. The stylistic versatility showcased on Fortune Teller also reveals a lot about Sarah Vanderzon's dedication to her craft and ability to inventively adapt to different genres that fall under the umbrella of Americana, folk, and country. Her unique sound and impressive songwriting abilities enable her to carve her own path in the current music scene.
After winning the 2024 Emerging Artists Showcase at the Canadian country music mega-fest Boots & Hearts, Vanderzon signed her record deal with Universal Music Canada as a new member of their artist roster. This week, Sarah returned to the country music festival to perform on The Front Porch stage on August 7. Sarah and her self proclaimed, ‘Vanderband’ will be taking the stage next week at Montreal’s LASSO music festival on Saturday, August 16.

Produced by Jordan Honsinger (Patrick James Clark, Morgan Griffiths) at his Nashville home studio and mixed by Jordan Oorebeek (George Canyon, Wes Mack,) the native of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Québec and winner of the Emerging Artists Showcase at 2024's Boots and Hearts Music Festival weaves through six heartfelt narratives about love, attraction, loyalty and heartbreak: all delivered with potent melodies that underscore her universally relatable lyrics.
The stylistic versatility showcased by Vanderzon on Fortune Teller also reveals a lot about the dedication to Universal Music Canada recording artist's craft: there's the rollicking folk elation of "Fortune Teller," an affirmation of lifelong love and devotion fueled by a noticeable banjo propellant; the bluesy bluster of "Give Me One Reason" that's highlighted by a tour-de-force Vanderzon vocal delivery of a love-me-or-leave-me ultimatum- and the cheeky, country-flavoured "Hey Partner," which tells a tale of a cowboy in a singles bar hitting on the wrong type of girl.
