  06 JULY 2016 (Toronto, ON) – Singer-songwriter and multi-platinum recording artist Shawn Mendes’ highly-anticipated sophomore album, Illuminate, will be released September 23 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The album, featuring current hit single “Treat You Better” is available for pre-order now at shawnmendesofficial.com and will be available for pre-order via iTunes this Friday, July 8.  Upon pre-ordering on iTunes this Friday, fans will instantly receive “Treat You Better” plus new song “Ruin,” along with 3 additional songs to be made available before album release. Shawn will give fans an exclusive preview of the new album for the first time with the Illuminate Live Concert & Album Event, a special headlining show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday, September 10.
