- Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, has signed an exclusive deal with Irish multi-platinum selling artist, Sinead O’Connor. O’Connor’s ninth studio album, How About I Be Me (And You Be You)? is confirmed for a February 21 release.

Produced by long-term collaborator John Reynolds, How About I Be Me (And You Be You)? features nine original songs that touch on love, loss, religion and hope, and one cover (John Grant’s “Queen of Denmark”). O’Connor has been playing the new songs during a series of critically acclaimed live shows in the UK, and The Guardian writes “O’Connor sounds on form, focused and fervent again.”

With a career spanning over 25 years and millions of albums sold worldwide, O’Connor first rose to fame in the late 1980s with her debut album, The Lion And The Cobra and then received massive worldwide success with her follow up album, I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got (1990).
